Mark Hatch
With 30+ years of business management and software development experience, Chief Operating Officer Mark Hatch conceived and manages ICS’ thriving Qt service business, as well has oversight responsibilities for engineering and marketing. Prior to joining ICS in 1995, Mark was VP of Marketing for a networking middleware company, as well as Manager of Software Marketing for Apollo Computers. He played a key role in the formation of prominent industry groups, including the X Consortium and the Open Software Foundation. He came up with the idea that eventually grew into the Qt World Summit, an annual event that brings together customers, partners and other members of the global Qt ecosystem. He also introduced the concept of pipelining user experience design with software engineering, a product-development approach that increases speed to market. Mark earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds an MBA from Boston University. He’s a licensed Extra Class Ham operator (AJ6CU) and can be found evenings on the 80m band.
