Wikimedia Commons has a specific scope[edit]

- @Yann where can I see which image it is? I cannot see what it was. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (please tag me) 17:41, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- AI-generated images are usually not accepted here. Yann (talk) 18:40, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Yann oh so they were not actually deleted yet. File:African Catgirl Andromeda.jpg doesn't have much value aside from demonstrating the particular style midjourney had at the time of production. File:Poolcore.png represents the poolcore aesthetic well. I had thought they were often accepted considering the fact a fair few were posted here and there were specific templates here for uploading such images. File:African Catgirl Andromeda.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

- idk where to post this response, as it was in there but here is something I typed out about poolcore.
- I do not believe poolcore would fulfill the GNG, but to my knowledge the GNG does not apply to wikimedia commons. But we do have this article en:WP:Internet_aesthetic and poolcore could definitely have a place in that article, or perhaps in this one en:WP:Liminal space (aesthetic) of which it is sometimes seen as a sub-aesthetic of.
