National Gallery Singapore: aerial view[edit]

- Request
- Just inspired by above photo, which was taken in 2011. After two building were converted to National Gallery Singapore, I see it would be meaningful to take photo again for the same site and the similar viewpoint. It would be nice if anyone who have a drone to do so. 😀 -- Great Brightstar (talk) 17:47, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
- Original photographer here; I shot it from the top of Marina Bay Sands with a superzoom (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38) so a drone isn't needed. Good luck! cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 00:50, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

- Please remove the concentric circle overlay. It's centered on the base/resonator of his instrument, and one circle overlaps with his face (look under his nose). Thank you so much! --Zanahary (talk) 18:35, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
- @Zanahary: In my opinion, working here makes no sense. The watermark is almost invisible, and removing it would require an amount of work disproportionate to the expected effect. PawełMM (talk) 07:11, 31 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Aurelio de Sandoval: I corrected some of the photos. The last three photos are small and of very poor quality. Their improvement, in my opinion, makes little sense. A lot of work and almost no expected effect. PawełMM (talk) 14:39, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

- Want to create a new article about the famous rock climbs of Requiem and Rhapsody on Dumbarton Rock in Scotland. Found this image on Flickr which is perfect, but is overexposed imho (i.e. sky too white and colour is poor). I also think the second image of Cobra Crack (an article I created on en-WP) is also a bit overexposed in the sky section? Thanks --Aszx5000 (talk) 18:02, 17 March 2024 (UTC)

- See Commons:Quality images candidates/Archives September 12 2016; Poco a poco requested that "you remove[] the CA". I think the CA is the result of using an inexpensive kit lens. I don't know how to remove it. --grendel|khan 22:11, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

- @Grendelkhan: I use GIMP with the G'MIC-Qt add-on. There is a "Chromatic Aberrations" filter there. PawełMM (talk) 11:37, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

Lens correction[edit]

Cropped image of Jade McGlynn
-
original image (for reference)
Article(s): en:Jade McGlynn
- Request
- Hi, I saw someone added the first image to the article en:Jade McGlynn that I wrote some time ago. It's a nice picture, but due to the convex lens of the camera, and the fact that she is standing far away from the centre of the original photograph, the proportions of her face are a bit off from what they should be. Is it possible to do some lens correction? Thanks. --Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 17:02, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- Graphist opinion(s)
- It might not be worth the effort as the source image is only of XGA resolution. The crop is only thumbnail size. Distorting it gives poor results. If a higher-resolution source is available, ask again. Cheers, cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 01:29, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
